Blockout.
This is a personal project done entirely in Blender. I wanted to model a creature that resembles a Dragon but taking inspiration from the anatomy and shapes of big birds.
After blocking the overall volumes, I used Blender’s sculptiong tools to work on the shape. Then, after the retopo, I used the multiresolution modifier to add detail without loosing the low topology. All that detail can be baked into a normal or displacement map.
I’m currently working on the texturing, also inside of Blender and I will update this post soon.
